A FINALIST FOR 2001 CODIE SOFTWARE AWARDS Novato, California, November 22, 2000 - Gemteq Software,
Inc. (www.egems.com), producer of the eGems Collector suite of electronic
research and reference applications, was today named a finalist among
750 entries for the prestigious 2001 Codie Awards, sponsored by the Software
& Information Industry Association. eGems Collector Pro was named
a finalist in the category of Best Reference Tool.
eGems Collector Pro is a powerful electronic research
companion, enabling users to conduct and organize electronic research.
Users simply drag-and-drop research "gems" from electronic sources,
simultaneously organizing the gems into personal digital libraries, while
automatically keeping source data intact. Research gems can then be incorporated
into users' work, and the user can instantaneously regenerate source material
for appropriately formatted footnotes or bibliographies.
"We are extremely pleased that this product has been
recognized by the Software & Information Industry Assn.," said
B.J. Blackburn, vice president of technology at Gemteq, "particularly
since the SIIA's Codie Awards represent peer recognition of excellence."
